I received my doctoral degree from The California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco, California in 2016. Prior to completing my doctoral training in clinical psychology, I completed my Master’s degree in Education and Child Life at Mills College in Oakland, California. Following my postgraduate residency at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa, CA, I worked for five years as an outpatient generalist on the San Rafael-Petaluma Child and Adolescent Psychiatry team.
I have specialized training in child development, women’s health, and healthy child-parent attachment. I have over five years experience as a clinician, preceded by over ten years of experience helping children and families navigate issues related to disability, education, and hospital experiences. Prior to working as a psychologist, I worked as a consultant and trainer for child care providers, educators, and parents.
I am trained as a generalist, with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I integrate different interventions into therapy as it serves my patients. I believe that, regardless of the approach used, patients are best helped within the context of a trusting relationship. With warmth and humor, I aim to help patients understand their own psychology, and, in turn, learn how to respond effectively, confidently, and with self-compassion.
